Forum registration page

Please fix the forum registration to say 'in advance' that the password must be at least 8 characters long.

It's annoying to put in a proposed password twice, only to find out that it's too short. 
All you need to do is add a note on the registration form page of the website.

Not that we wrote this forum software, but still...
The password is validated using JavaScript. If you have JavaScript turned on, you won't be able to submit a too short password. If you have JavaScript turned off by default (like me), you must be somewhat concerned about your system's security - how does that compute with a password shorter than 8 characters? Are people still using those today? Are you aware of how easy such a short password can be cracked?

Since Im registered from the old account, Im using a easy password. The password to this forum is not a thing Im worried so much about.
