Ok - several guitars and Yamaha CS - 15 analog synth providing the bass and drums recorded on a Tascam Portastudio one cassette 4-track recorder.

In addition I play samples of myself (guitar and voice) on a Casio SK-5 (http://www.casiosk1.com/sk5.cfm) sampling keyboard - little more than a toy but still useful.

What you hear here is the original master to cassette - but I was able to pull off the 4 tracks and I do plan to remaster... some day.

The helium voice is a tape speed manipulation of the portastudio one. I sang against the slowed down track.

Original song notes to Evan

I put drums, bass and 3 guitars on the 4-track and mixed to cassette.
I then bounced the cassette back to the 4-track and added vocals, lead
guitars and sampler to it. The vocals were recorded by bringing the
tape speed down when recording. (I couldn't sing as high as I wanted to,
which is the sole reason I did it. As it turned out it added something to
the song.)

Interesting construction in time, this piece.
I've got some SK1's, so I compared with the SK5. Well, saving the sample when off-power already is cool.
And tell Vicky she makes beautiful pictures.

I will pass your admiration of Vicky's pictures - she was most kind to let me use the picture. If I remember right she is Norwegian. The internet is wonderful!

I gave my two Sk5's to SoOn members. I hadn't used them in years to be honest. But they are great tools under the guise of toys.

OT. Hm. My SK1 was considered a toy too. But I was glad to have a thing that could sample, having also a line input.
