By the way: where can I get version 1.17.02.53 of OMPT? The newest provided by ModPlugCentral is 1.17.02.48 and when I open the song, OMPT says that this song was saved with the ".53 version". Is it a kind of "developers only" version?

Well, keeping track of 64 channels isn't really that hard if they're well organized. You just have to scroll a lot. This tune was actually the reason why I have the Treeview disabled by default now (but I have a shortcut to open it quickly when I need it).
The last official version of OpenMPT is 1.17.02.52:

1.17.02.53 is the current development snapshot (I always use the latest version from SVN with some slight modifications), but not "developers only" . On the contrary, we are always happy if there are a few alpha testers. A fairly recent version can always be found at http://sagagames.de/stuff/mptrack.exe - Beware, this is not the latest development snapshot and it's a debug release which will trigger a few "errors" that don't exist in release builds.
