Keep forgetting to ask this, and maybe one of you fellows know.

How do I enable my M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 Sound Card to record in 24bit mode as opposed to 16?

Thanks.

use ASIO? as said before, ASIO should always use the optimal resolution.

I mean when recording from a microphone into a sequencer. I use the ASIO drivers, but it records it at 16bit.

ASIO is only a playback device, not a recording device, I believe.

Right.
If this sequencer is your recording application, it should have a device setting somewhere in the options with a list of possible resolutions.

Please... Read the fucking wiki articles before you believe something  Or at least try it yourself!

ASIO stands for "Audio Stream Input/Output" and is therefore also a recording driver!

Err, are you recording into a 16bit file or what? This smells rather like a problem of your application, and not of the driver.

Hoy! Watch the language there son, there may be ladies present. :pimp:

Well I tested out someone elses USB Sound card, and it had a 24bit recording option in the actual sound card setup. However I'll dig into Cubase a bit to see if I can activate 24bit recording. Thanks for the input. <- (Dang I'm smart)
