not exactly my favourite EBM style, I liked "Hollow" more. Not a bad track anyway.

Well, in some way, it's near to a bad track.

The total envelope of the song is just too flat. So at a certain point, I'm going to think, ok, this will go on for some time.

I think the main element here are the parts with the vocal verses. No dynamic variation within a verse.
It starts at a certain volume, and stays that way until the end of the verse, compared to the rest of the intruments.
Every sentence has the same dynamic performance.

If someone would tell you a story in the same way, without sometimes emphasizing a word, or a sentence, or building up the volume a little bit during a sentence towards the end, you will sooner experience it as a rather dull story. Despite the content.
