The first one was a little too much of the repetitive drum pattern for me, although I liked the vocal samples.

The second tune  was really enjoyable --  why did it end so suddenly?

Thanks for sharing Sam Zen.  It's always interesting.

I didn't enjoy the first tune too much, it was quite lengthy...
The second tune is much nicer imho, but it's a pity that the flute-thingy is included in the drumline since it sounds really repetitive and like a LP is hangig :D

Sometimes I choose for quite a sudden end, to avoid the always obvious fadeout.

You'r right about the length of the first, so I replaced it by a 'condensed' version.
The flute-thingy in Oef is inevitable, because it's part of the same sequence-sample as the drumline.
"like a LP is hanging" is a nice association. Because sometimes I use exact repetitions on purpose in a piece.
And often (in the 'non-condensed' versions) I let them go too far. Beyond the border of boredom, so to speak.
I like to know what's happening as a listener, if the repetition comes to a point where 'boring' comes in,
the need for a change arrives, and it just goes on.
It will build up a tension, to be redeemed from the repetition.
