I agree with BSV. Nice base for something, so I waited for some sound on top of this, but it didn't came.

I understand that some people were looking for a melodic element over the bass and drums, but I think that sort of misses the point of the song.  It's quite the special effect feast, I think.  I liked it.

What instruments were used?  It doesn't sound to me like it was primarily done with samples, but I could be wrong.

Ah, finally someone who understands my music!

The lead/bass is Albino3 put through a bunch of effects, the key one being Predatohm. Other significant plugins are Sampletank2, Hematohm, Dirtbox and VCS-ultraphazer.

To me it was not so much a matter of something melodic. I look broader than that. It could have been the single occurence of some sound somewhere. But besides this, I use the concept, that if something is intentionally not done, as rewbs now has confirmed, then it's fine by me.
And it's a feast of special effects indeed. That's where the 'playing' is in this piece.
