Hi. I was going to get my Unreal and Crusader No Remorse tracks to my cellphone, as I was a bit naive. But it can't play the .s3m , .it or .mod files.

Anyone know if a modplaying app is available for the Sony Ericsson W800i?

Hey there.

I'd simply suggest that you download "Modplug Tracker" and save the files you want as a .wav, and then you can convert the .wav into whatever file your phone reads.

Keep in mind that Unreal type games use several songs in the same file, so youll have to seperate the ones you want... All can be done in Modplug Tracker. Any additional Q's will be welcomed.

Thanks
But I found a better solution :)

First off, multiple songs in Unreal are not in one file. I'm not talking about other titles using Unreal engine, I mean the original Unreal from 1998.
So it's not a problem.

The way I did it was a bit slow, but it is free and works fine.
I used http://media-convert.com/ to convert the files directly to mp3.
The website apparently converts between ANY media, text, video and audio.
Quite a find.

Sorry, you are wrong. There actually *are* multiple songs in one file. If you look at the file in modplug tracker, you'll see that there are some (maybe 3) patterns in the beginning of the file which Skip to later patterns. The first pattern leads to the ambient music, the second to the battle music, and so on... So if you listen to the file, you would only hear the ambient music, but you would never hear the battle theme which is stored in the same file.

Jojo is right. Also you don't need a seperate mp3 converter when modplug can save as mp3 anyway :D
I am Dyslexic of Borg, resemblance is fertile, your ass will be laminated.

Now *you* are wrong :P
Modplug can save mp3s itself, you need an external mp3 converter like LAME first... ;) If you configure it correctly (i.e. it's registred in the system), you can use it in modplug.

ALTHOUGH...

A wiser person would export to WAV, master, then MP3
