"Greetins, Modplug is the best tracker in the world! Sadly your link doesnt work, can you upload to another server? And the automatic translator works really badly..."

Damn these language-nazi rules

But of course one can advice someone only in his native language to learn another language.

Octal2ASCII:
But hex, binary or octal, they are international:)

Sorry. Forgot the HEX2ASCII conversion :
It's not a matter of rules, it's a matter of common sense.

A very nice link indeed ! Thanks.. Educational for kids also.

Talking about international (maybe poor LPChip can find his clue again with this .. :))
Of course the default situation of a forum runs the most efficient, if there is used a common language.
Which in this case, because it's the net, is english.
If the need for other languages to communicate is rising on a forum, they could decide to make new
categories for german, spanish, or dutch, like on the TC-forum. But this has its price on the aspect of
moderation of a forum. If the Admin doesn't master the language of such a group, he has to delegate
the task to other moderators, who do.

But I don't think this is the case here. It's an incident. So for a smooth solution one can be flexible.
I prefer the original message in the native language (if one really doesn't know the default language), instead of some crappy robot, because such conversions only causes unnecessary confusions.
Sooner or later, some helpful MPF-member will show up to explain the original in english, and the topic can go on.

I wondered how it is in the other direction.. Is that translator as bad also in translating the english on the forum to russian ?
You have indeed a tendency to duplicate things I must say. In the first post you posted the same URL 3 times.
Nevertheless, back to topic. Although it should be something for the download-section, I checked : bass_under_grass_185284
Nice piece for a party, with very interesting background sounds.

As for having multiple language forums: I don't like this, because it creates a gap in the group we have. Im admin on another forum where we also have a russian forum, and now a portuguese forum. People that used to post in the english forums are now posting only in their language forum, which seperates them from the rest. I can't read russian nor portuguese which means that the few communications we had in the past are now zero.

I'd like to avoid that here. Even if I'd make a dutch forum as I can speak that, I'd still like to avoid it.

Just thought i'd post one more link - http://www.tashian.com/multibabel/

It shows you just how effective a machine translator can be - "I like fish and chips" is translated as "Master the fish and the integrated circuits" :D

I fully agree. I experience the same problems as moderator on the TC-forum.
A multi-lingual only would be acceptable, if all messages immediately would be properly translated, and duplicated to the sections in another language. In that case, all of the forum would be accessible to all members.
Nevertheless, very incidentally, I prefer to see a topic written in the native language with the exact content of the remark, if the sender apparently can read enough of the default forum-language to be able to register, while not able to type a sensible message in that site-language.

Great link again. Unfortunately Babelfish was too slow at the moment to make a test.

Я не посылал URL три раза, это подпись на форуме, если я про то думаю.
С какого URL вам удалось скачать Bass Under Grass из тех что я перечислил?

avto-translation:

I did not send URL three times, it is the signature on a forum if I about that think.
From what URL you managed to download Bass Under Grass from those that I have listed?
