Is it possible to manually set one sample to specified value in dB without using samples drawing?

Sample drawing is the one way of directly manpulating the waveform data like that. Can you elaborate what your use case for this is, and why sample drawing is not solving it?

For example, it is vary hard to draw straight line using drawing.

That seems like a bit of an overkill to draw a straight line in a sample (espeically since it will do more than just that).
