I was using Open MPT and I think I accidently pressed something, and it no longer plays back the note I just recorded. I want to know how to turn this back on.

You probably toggled the very first checkbox in the settings dialog: Play new notes while recording (https://wiki.openmpt.org/Manual:_Setup/General#Play_new_notes_while_recording)
