Title: MPC pads - practical drumpads
Post by: cfel on February 07, 2008, 23:22:33
I would like a MPC keymap feature, see example:

Assign a sample to keys 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 in 4 banks (36 samples!).
And use the keys NumLock, /, * and - to change between banks.
Is this possible?

Well, if you just use a multi-sample instrument, and reassign the keys for triggering notes which correlate to drum sounds to use the keymap...

So if your bass drum is on C in the base octave, make "1" trigger it; if your snare is D, make "2" sound a D, and so on. :D Of course, that'll mess up all of your other composing, so you might want to keep two keymaps which you swap between. :)
