Title: Combine two effects Bxx and Dxx
Post by: splintercdo on December 07, 2017, 07:41:01
Hey guys, my first topic! Noob alert! :D
It's written here https://wiki.openmpt.org/Manual:_Effect_Reference, that I can combine Dxx effect with Bxx effect to jump to a specific place in a specific pattern.
How would I combine them, do I place them one after another vertically or horizontally somehow?

Ah sorry for bothering you guys, nice person at modplug IRC helped me out:
Quoteits Bxx and Cxx. And you place them in 2 different columns on the same row
But then it means that there is a mistake here in the documentation: https://wiki.openmpt.org/Manual:_Effect_Reference
Cxx    Set Volume    —    Sets the sample volume to xx, where xx must be between 00h (silence) and 40h (full volume).

QuoteBut then it means that there is a mistake here in the documentation
Remember that the documentation is a wiki that anyone can edit. However, there is no mistake here that needs to be corrected, because the effect letters differ depending on the format you are using - Cxx is Set Volume in MOD/XM, so you have been looking at one of those two formats. In IT/S3M/MPTM, offer effect letters are used. You need to know which format you are working with, which can be seen on the General Tab.
I clarified the documentation that the two effects need to be placed on the same row.
