Title: .45 Envelope bug
Post by: Saga Musix on April 04, 2007, 20:54:06
Full Version:
OpenMPT v1.17.0

Description of the bug:
I think the behaviour of envelopes changed.
I noticed a very subtle difference in my track Seaside. Play Channel 13 solo at Position 24 (containing pattern 18 ). The accordeon has a filter effect. at row 47 / 48, the sound is pitched down. In modplug tracker 1.16, the envelope was kept and an off-beat effect (which i liked a lot) was produced. But in openMPT, the envelope is reset at row 48 (although there is a portamento!). You can also compare it using this module. The second pattern here demonstrates the problem in Seaside. In modplug 1.16, the 2 channels would play the envelope in another way than openMPT.

Indeed, the envelopes have changed. They're now consistant with the tempo. The envelope settings from 1.16 were actually a bug that has been fixed, and for that reason, am closing this bug.
