I'm somewhat new to the software and I was wondering where I could find an example OpenMPT module I could download and run. I want to study what a complete song looks like before making one of my own.

To see good examples of what can be done in OpenMPT, open "Help" in the main menu bar, and then select a module from the "Example Modules" list to open it.

When you download the full package, there is a folder full of example modules. It literally comes with the package.
Yes, just go to Help -> Example Modules and you will find more than a dozen songs that ship with the application. Other than that, The Mod Archive (https://modarchive.org/) is a good place to look for more music.
There are also tunes to download here on these forums in the free music board, just look for files that use .it .xm .s3m .mptm .mod and other tracked file extensions
