Title: Anyone planning on looking at Google Native Client SDK?
Post by: rewbs on May 15, 2010, 15:03:08
http://www.readwriteweb.com/cloud/2010/05/google-native-client.php

So who's going to be the first to build a cross-platform, browser-based tracker with an HTML/CSS/JavaScript front-end and OpenMPT's playback engine, rendering audio through the Native Client APIs? ;)

Here's the audio API it's supposed to provide: https://wiki.mozilla.org/NPAPI:Pepper

Disclaimer: I haven't really thought this through at all.  :)

Maybe it's me who didn't understand correctly but this means that you download the code, compile it in your computer and then run it in your browser?
I don't know about the compiling time everytime I want to start modplug..

I think they show the compile step just to illustrate what a developer has to do. My understanding is that the native bits are served to the client in binary form.
