I just got "East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Silver Edition."
Now it has its own VSTi program that allows it to load its instruments.
I load the VSTi in Modplug, all is good. I load up an instrument, all is good. Now if I go into the "pattern editor" ( or "instruments", "samples" or whatever, ) than jump back to the "General" tab, the program stops responding and crashes.
If I load the Vsti, and do not load up an instrument in it, I can jump back and forth without the crashes.
This is very upsetting since I just got this great set of samples :(

I think what he means is that many programs have looooong version numbers, so he'd like to know the entire version number of the plugin that you are using.
An example would be:
Version: 1.06.255.01.05rc2
If there is an "about" button or something along those lines in the plugin interface, that would be where to find this information.
If its what Mister X is saying then the version number is:
Kompakt Instrument - 1.0.0.010
Errrr, I was just wandering whether I have any hope to hold on to Rewbs? Perhaps I could somehow send you a copy of the VSTi to look into or if there is anything else I can do. I really want to use this stuff in Modplug.
Thanks, yes that's what I meant. Any chance you can upgrade to the latest version of the plug? I have tested EWQLSO SE 1.0.3.0006 on OpenMPT 1.17.02.45 and can't reproduce the problem.

I had problems getting Kontakt to work under MPT. I think it's partially because MPT doesn't have the best VST implementation known to man... I got Kontakt going by "wrapping" it inside Xlutop chainer. Yes, it meant that I had to fork out another US$60 or something, but I figured it was worth it... Try downloading the demo of Chainer, loading it as your VSTi, and then loading your actual vsti into it.

For the kontakt problem i used the kontakt 16Out plugin and i have no problem in mpt.
I dont think you'll get much help on this one. Since the paid version of EWQLSO Silver is the later edition (1.0.3.0006) which DOES work as tested by rewbs. Since you have the older version it simply wont.
bvanoudtshoorn brings up an excellent idea to try. Load the "Chainer" Demo ( http://www.xlutop.com/html/chainer.html ) into modplug, and then load EWQLSO into chainer. By the way for your knowledge, EWQLSO Gold 1.0 gives the same problem.
