Title: Questions about MIDI options
Post by: Harbinger on August 15, 2009, 00:24:05
In the MIDI options page (in the Options dialog) i need help understanding the following settings:

Amplify MIDI velocity: What exactly is being modified and how much, and how is this effect determined? Is it only during playback (not fixed during input)?
Combine MIDI volume to note velocity: "Attach" MIDI volume to the vxx value of the note? What is happening when this setting is active?
Continue song as soon as MIDI notes are being received: Assuming the music has been paused (since it must "continue") when would this be used?

I have an exam in an hour, so just a quick answer for #3 for now: Yes, it will, if playback is paused, continue as soon as a key ond a midi keyboard is being pressed.

When this setting is enabled, the MIDI volume setting in MIDI keyboard will have an effect on the volume of the received note.
