hi all!
today i try OpenMPT to convert midi to .it for my patch, but the output file is too big! it's about 260KB...
but the midi file is only 126KB, why the .it file will be so big? :(
i try to resample the samples using GoldWav, and the output file size reduced, but it doesn't as the same as the orginal midi file when i listen!
anyone can help me?
i think the .it file to be 100KB will be cool :D
here is my midi file:

by the way:
if anyone has the same music and the file type is .xm, .it, .mod .....
The filesize increase may be due to .IT file storing the samples within itself. Midi files dont do that (it points to where the sounds are either on your HDD or soundcard etc but doesn't store them internally)
However I was able to bring the file size down from your 260bk to 202kb just using the cleanup option (ie go to Edit --> Cleanup -->Cleanup Song) it removed an unsused sample.
Btw Love the tunes! Brings back memories!
Heres a link to what used to be an XM file (or was that IT file?) and for some reason its MP3 now (ick) still though Virt is a pretty awesome arranger!
