At the moment, volume messages are set at a resolution of 65 discrete values (0 - 64). MIDI, however, specifies a resolution of 128 (0 - 127). It would be good if normal volume messages (vXX) could be extended to match this resolution. Alternatively, the Volume effect could be sent through to the plug (taking precedence over any value in the volume command column). This would then have the side-effect of allowing you to send pitch bend and volume messages simultaneously.
