Sorry if I sound idiotic while saying this, but I can not figure out how to make anything... I have searched for many tutorials and help, but I can't find any... If someone could point me to a very thorough tutorial or help me, that would be appreaciated.
You don't sound idiotic at all. Read the tutorial in the Wiki (http://openmpt.xwiki.com/xwiki/bin/view/TutMakeSong/) and then feel free to ask any questions here.
Step 1: Set up an instrument or two.
Step 2: Get cat
Step 3: Place cat on KB
Step 4: Play with cat
Step 5: Listen to song
Step 6: Lather Rinse Repeat
*Also good with GF, just place her hands on KB and play with cat. :>
See no musical aptitude required.

a very good place to start is to load some other modules into modplug tracker.
