Album:
You EP
Artist's description:
This is not a complete piece - it is just a sketch of an idea that Kristin and I worked on one night via ICQ... so be kind.
1. This is an attempt to combine eastern indian sounds and ideas into a western pop idiom.
2. This is an blatant attempt at musical erotica.
3. The genesis of the piece was the thoughts a young woman/girl would have if she happened upon a couple making love in a cave late at night and the effect it would have upon her told through her memories in a sort of a cubist time twist fashion as she swapped between voyeur and the wish to be the woman she was watching.
Contributors:
Kristin Brilliant in performance and development of the lyrics and concept.
The other voice is me.
My Fender Mustang driven by an Ebow through a digital echo pedal direct into the (aging) Portasound into a soundblaster live.
A nice eastern indian soundfont - tabla - tambura
Evolution soundfont
Nice drum soundfont
Cakewalk Pro Audio - no VST's or VSTi's were harmed in the production of this muzak.

Inspiration:
feminine sexual awakening
This was culled from the ICQ transcript and cleaned up...
ritual of love sounds like the perfect title :-)
I remember...
under the night of stars
I remember...
To my hiding place I went
I remember...
The flames
I remember...
Them
soft sounds
rustle of leaves
under bodies
I remember...
the touch
I remember...
my hands
sweating
I remember...
my body aching
I remember...
I watched
in rapture
the spark
I remember...
passed to and fro
I remember...
from one to another
like a precious falme
I remember...
I wanted him
I wanted to be her
I remember...
feel each passionate kiss
I remember...
my thigh upon his...
sliding...
I remember...
the sheen of lovers
reflecting light
I hide
I watch
I hide
I watch
I remember...
heart to heart
ageless
the ritual...
I remember...
Into my soul
I remember...
deepening sounds
the drums
timeless rythm
I remember...
(The following exists and is recorded, but not presented here - but for the sake of elucidation of the idea....)
strung across and between
tight...loose...and tight again
two souls
time and space
wish to join
wish to be
thin tendrils
of feeling
reach out
and touch
the magic
moment
the sudden
rush
connection
forever
the desire
the yearning
she cries
he answers
he moves
she receives
as one
gliding
Cool! Im a fan of indian style music. Can definitely hear that ebow, but also really like percussion sounds. Cool!
thanks you
the soundfonts are in here somewhere on my site
http://clones.soonlabel.com/public/sfbank/
have at it.
Oh wow! So many soundfonts. Thank you!
This is beautiful, Clones ! A bit short though.
According to the lyrics you should have done 'I remember' more often.. :)
And, if not intentional, then the ebow is too loud, compared to the intimacy of the rest.
Thank you Sam for the listen and comment!
The "I remember" became too often for me - but then think of how many times I heard it when mixing it :-)
I can go back and remaster this. I should because my tools are so very much better now than a decade ago. For this one I do have the source.
