Title: Pre-mixed audio for vis?
Post by: djliquidice on April 21, 2015, 17:47:36
I'm looking at the current API, and am noticing that there are methods for VU, which are useful. =)

My question is: Are there any API methods (or plans for) to get pre-mixed audio data for visualization?  I'm thinking something like what most trackers do (like milky below)

I understand that openMPT only visualizes VU at the current time =).

There is currently no way to get pre-mixed audio data for individual channels or other possible groupings.
I currently do not have any plans on adding those either, because the mixing code currently does not provide those directly.
Iff this will be supported some time in the future, it will almost certainly happen in the tracker first, and later on in libopenmpt.
