Now this is a more serious work and having made it I've felt that this time I am really satisfied. I am warning you, the tune is 22 mins long and takes up 27 Mb, but I hope it's worth it. Fully performed in live mode with Tape Loops.

I had to force myself to avoid the association with the same title by Wendy Carlos.

But this is quite different. Maybe the mood is the same, but this has far more melodic and rhythmic elements.

Talking about rhythm : I think the basedrum starting at 14:20 really adds nothing to it.
What am I supposed to do ? Do the autumn dance ? The same with the cheezy bassline du-duuh-du dumm.. starting at 19:20.
The basic beat already is explained and can be felt by the excellent sequence which is going on.

Interesting commentary.

I guess the basic beat realizes the rhythm which is felt there for many-many minutes. It was just one way to go. By the end of the piece the percussion is all there really is. I could've not used it, it was just one way of developing it.

As for the autumn dance, funny comment. In such music I view the beat as something that puts your mind to rest, not something that makes your feet wanna dance.
