The title describes by itself, and a recognition in the treeview is requested too. Useful to load various and see what scheme likes or fits.
Little request ::)
I'm not sure if it's currently doable, since the colours are just stored in a normal INI file (same format as mptrack.ini for example) - and recognizing files by file extensions is not a good idea (MPT doesn't do that anywhere when it comes to _loading_ files). Maybe a solution can be found, but I can't promise anything right now.
Just a question: What happens or why is not a good idea with file extension recognition?

Because a file extension doesn't tell you anything about the content; There are many wrongly-named files (like S3M files called foo.mod) which could not be loaded if loading was based on file extensions. Similary, many modules from the Amiga follow a different naming convention where the extension is in front of the file name (mod.foo), and websites like ModLand have added extensions like .m15 or something for 15-sample mods, while you could just call them .mod as well. All these special cases couldn't be handled with a file extension list.
