Title: what does the term "bidi" actually mean???

I noticed in the samples that there is a 'bidi' option where it plays the sample back and forth... does the word 'bidi' have an actual meaning or is it just a modplug related term??? I have never hard of the word 'bidi' before! can someone explain to me the meaning of the word bidi???

Bi-directional (http://wiki.openmpt.org/Manual:_Samples#Sample_Loops). And yes, that's not only an MPT-specific term (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bidi).
