I think the MPTM format should have longer longer filename tags (and maybe also description tags) for instruments and samples. I have many wav files which have filenames that exceed the 8.3 limit and it's sometimes hard for me to identify from which file i loaded a particular sample.
It would be great if these tags were not fixed-length tags anymore so that they could include very long tags (of course, with a maximum)
