Basically an attempt to make lo-fi but with a twist: instead of using vinyl and surroundings sounds i actually used fake electronic versions of real instruments, such as rhodes piano, trombone and baritone sax. I tried to give my own name to this (sub)genre: hog-fi. Not sure why...
Looking forward to feedback :D
While the drums here are more varied and interesting than in the songs you posted later, the biggest problem with this track is that it's just looping the same bunch of notes over and over again. Repetition can be good and interesting - but if not done so intentionally, it's rarely enjoyable. If you want to keep the repetitiveness, I'd at least suggest to make some part of it change over time - for example, change the filter cutoff, add layers of the same melody fading in and out, make the notes longer or shorter, etc.... Otherwise, hearing the same 10-second loop over and over again will be just grating the ears. Even better, try changing one or two notes e.g. on every fourth repetition, or add a new note... there are many possibilities to make it more interesting.
believe me this was also done intentionally
btw tnx for commenting
