Okay, this actually is a bit of older news, as it was released some weeks ago, yet I learned about it today, and I'm going to buy it tomorrow :D
Curious about what it is? Then check this youtube one out.
Oh and Sam_Zen, if you have a DS, you're going to want one too! :)

I don't have a DS, and don't need one. But this looks quite nice.
I'm sure that the device has more possibilities than this quite primitive demonstration.
I have heard of the ds 10, one of me buddies messes with it.
I wonder how good it is. I have M3 Real card so all I need is to find where to download the ROM.
I couldn't get it to work with my CycloDS, so I bought one. Its very good actually. Perhaps a little bit limited, but its so much fun. It has a sequencer even to make a full song with it. Oh yeah, a big toy. :D
With M3 Real it should work fine. But do you have the ROM?

You can google (http://nds.hkorz.com/rom-id-2768.html) it ;) And I have a real plastic one :D
Thanks! I'll give it a try )
Tried it out just today - superb stuff!
It certainly is. I already made 2 songs with it, and I can say that doing chiptunes really pays off for this. Did some things you'd not expect possible with this :D I added a polyphony Guitar as 3rd instrument  while still having a basedrum and snare.
Wow? Like how did you do that?
Pity you cannot edit volumes there - at least I haven't found yet.

Yes you can :)
Its very flexible actually, Most things can be automated using an OSC or you can draw a note and set its volume and duration. (duration being 100% or smaller than one block, or slide through the next.
I'll soon get my songs recorded to youtube so you can see and listen to it. I'll also make mp3s available.
found volume editing. I still don't understand how patching works. not yet.

Patching is quite easilly, you just have to learn how the flow goes.
On the left, you have a speed knob. This controls an OSC. That osc moves to the bottom then to the right to 4 outputs. A triangle, saw, square and a random one. By connecting these to any of the upper, you can control them. Next on top, you have Pitch all, Pitch 1 and Pitch 2. They control the pitch for the 2 sounds that are available per synth. On the right, there's the control for filter cut-off, and on that right, there's the volume. The EG on the bottom right, is something about the entire patch. Not sure how that one works yet, and the VCL2 or so out is for the 2nd sound in the synth. (something like that)
The knobs determine how much of a change you want.
The other editing scheme is actually much easier to understand. If you have a question about that, shoot.
the other scheme I have no questions about too )
I've uploaded my 2 songs as mp3 and on youtube. They're now also in the free music downloads forum.
But especially for you lazy gits out there, here are the links. :)

EDIT: I now got my CycloDS to work with the Korg DS-10 game. Ofcource I also have bought the game, and I would've done anyway, but that way I can backup my songs to my pc, and possibly share it. :)
I basically had to update my firmware. :)
Btw, I listened to the demo songs there and they rock. At first I thought they were just loops, but they are actually whole songs if you play them in song mode.
And I found out you can edit drum sounds and put separate effects on them... simply wow! Haven't found out whether you can switch effects on and off in different patterns or if effects are for an overall song...
Will check your tunes when I get home from work.

Effects are songbased, but I dunno what happens if you put the master Effects over the drum effects. Each drum can have its own effect, and the master can have an effect. Perhaps flanger AND echo?
I would use delay on, say, hihats or a snare individually to increase groove. Then a flanger can be put on top )

Thats what I ment :boogie:
Wrote a good theme after all. You know how it happens sometimes, you like the software/hardware, but just can't get anything done with it. I mean I've never made a decent tune with Scream Tracker 3, my fav tracker.
However, today in the morning on my way to work I managed to write a nice theme there, right in the subway, in spite of all the noise. Maybe I come up with the whole tune soon!
Cool! Can't wait to hear it. :)
Yeah, but keep in mind that it still sounds pretty lame compared to the demos in the synth.
eh. hadn't much time to complete my tunes.
btw, how do you encode them to mp3?
Quote from: "Louigi Verona"eh. hadn't much time to complete my tunes.

I plug my DS into the line-in of my pc and record it to wav using a wave editor (Creative WaveStudio is my tool here) and then I use lame MP3 encoder to encode it to mp3.
And a new song out!
DS-10 Crusade (http://forum.openmpt.org/index.php?topic=2629.0&highlight=) :D
At last I've started a tune with which I am more or less happy. All the tunes I did before were crap. Will put it out soon.
Cool, keep us posted. :)
Yeah, well I finished one track so today in the eve I'll just have to record it to computer.
I also made another track but it is ambient and sound experimental and it is so long that I had to use three files for it. Pity that there is a length limit.
Maybe what I will really do is arrange it live while recording it from line in.

Most do. :)
Yesterday I made a self changing texture. oh, I wish I could go home now and upload it!
