For some reason when I try to download the open modplug from the source forge links it stops the transfer at 8%. i even tried just going for the RC1 version and the same thing happened. I'm on dial so it could be a problem there.

from which sourceforge server? there are a TON of mirrors so if one doesnt work, try another (when you reach the downloading page, just click 'select a different mirror').
