what do i do i tried putting it in the root directory and it still says its missing lame_enc.dll
Please don't use lame_enc. As the manual says, the preferred MP3 encoder is libmp3lame.dll (http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-libraries.php). MP3 export should work with either DLL by putting it in the same directory as mptrack.exe. Did you restart OpenMPT? Did you actually get the correct version of the library (32-bit library for 32-bit OpenMPT, 64-bit library for 64-bit OpenMPT)?
