Title: [Pop/Rock, Electro ] Set Free [mp3/.it]
Post by: aGIANTpupafish on July 07, 2008, 20:45:33
Not sure what genre to call this, but was proud of this nonetheless.

Came joint 3rd in the Soundevotion Compo [advert] check out this brilliant sample-pack based compo over @ http://www.sdcompo.com [/advert]

Get the .it containing the relevant VST effects here: http://www.sdcompo.com/entry.php?dl=368

Or alternatively give the mp3 a listen: http://flabby.tv/Set%20Free.mp3

Regards.

Back at CAG for his shouts about his sdcompo entry he put up here (=

Nice wide panorama. And I like the bass part.
I could argue about the duration, some 'alineas' are repeated without any new thing in it or small variations.

Very nice mellow sound.  I actually really enjoyed the intro.  The sound quality was good -- did you use just samples and VST effects, or VST instruments?

A really nice tune, but mpt doesn't seem to recognize BlueDelay VST.dll as a VST. Doesn't change much for me, as my cpu is too slow for all those VSTs anyway. :D

Aha! So you're a "vst(i) hater" for a reason. :P

no, it's not that reason. there are enough VSTs and VSTis that run smoothly here. But I like modules the oldskool way (i.e. playable by other players).

It works, but needs to be reloaded everytime you start modplug.

Nice and lovely song is all I have to say. To bad you didn't win.
