What's a pad by the way ?
A very contemplative piece, Clones, thanks for sharing.
The violin at the end has a bit much portamento between the notes, to be called a violin.
Hi Sam,
Well it is terminology that I'm not 100% sure about
pad = wash = ambient background held chord / sound
thanks for the listen and comment!
Ah, I see
A pad is a synthetic sounds used to make background chords. Think of background chords of voices or strings. Now, suppose they are synthetic and probably have a gentle sound (just like strings or a choir). That's a pad. Sort of :D
If it's WIP then I hope to hear the full version someday. Not that it's creepy, but it has a touch of magic and something that balances between tension and creepiness never going into either of the directions. Somehow I managed to call it "proto-creepiness" It's a great start and the finished track will be much appreciated! Very good, clones!
Thanks for the listen and comment Nahkranoth!
My friend Norm and I are already scheming about the next version :-)
Here is an update - the structure has change - the brass is gone

Two thoughts
should it end when the violin does
I feel the need to simplify the bass
The violin portamento is problematic in that it is built into the voice - if I play legato it does a portamento. - I'm working that - the observation is spot on.
