Title: multitimbral midi recording
Post by: crosshash on September 06, 2016, 02:58:36
Hi all :)

I have a multitimbral keyboard for midi input to OMPT
4 instrument are split across the keyboard .. each instrument sending midi notes on Midi channels 1,2,3,4 respectively.

I wish to assign a VST to each channel in OMPT for each incoming midi channel and have OMPT record these simultaneously.
Is this possible ?

Thanks in advance.

No, OpenMPT does currently not support splitting by MIDI channels. However, the Keyboard Split (found in the Edit menu) can help you splitting notes between two instruments.

In general it would be nice to have detailed MIDI recording filters to map specific MIDI channels and notes to specific pattern channels and instruments.
