Well... Title says all... I have noticed little differences but... Please someone explain. :)

Perhaps there are portions of original assembler (ASM) code in one but not the other..?

Just ignore the latter, it's a build option introduced by zlib. It does only affect zlib (if at all) and not the rest of the program.
