Thanks for the download service. I never review streaming-wise.
Ambient isn't quite my piece of cake, but this is very acceptable.
I heard a nice fretless bass at 1:19. A much too short appearance I think.
Is this the same instrument as the beautiful very low bass sound ?

Yeah, they're one and the same instrument. Wide Fretless Bass. The part you like is simply being played on a higher range.

Ahh, ambient's my cake! :D

Nice deep intro. That's good, you're not keeping it too light. Draws me in. The slow attack pads are pretty standard, but I like the timbre.
Perhaps the bell at the beginning is too prominent and clear. I tend to think of it as background to a larger harmonic theme, and in no small part because of the genre. The high bells with the strong attack are unexpected, but personally, I would cut down on it's voluminous attack. Perhaps make subsequent appearances of these high bells vary or diminish in volume so the song flows more.
Guitar chords! :P
And I can't resist that. Call me biased. :D
No dominating melodic theme, which is fine for the genre, as there is a nice harmonic progression. Don't be afraid to repeat the good stuff (variations shouldn't be too hard, eh?). The melodic leads that do come in are skillfully used.
The piano's very nicely done. One of the things I wanted to hear again. The ending is left open purposely, probably the only thing composition wise that isn't "easy listening", though not a bad thing.

All in all, I would say more easy listening than ambient, though there are recognizable themes of the latter genre in the song as well. Enjoyable, but short; could be longer for ambient... :)

2 - CrazyAznGamer:

Wow thats quite a review. Thanks a lot. Good constructive criticism. I wasnt thinking of a genre when making it, It was a work that I made without anything mind. I had to find a genre name after the fact. Ambient/Easy listening was the closest I could think of :P. True, the song could be longer and could be varied with relative ease... and perhaps at later date I might expand on it, but I have other projects to work on so we do what we can in the time we can.
Once again Big thanks!

This is an excellent piece of music.  I love it.  The instruments are very distinct and clear, no "muddiness" in it at all.  Professional work as far as I am concerned.
