Full Version:
OpenMPT v1.17.02.53
Has the bug occured in previous versions? If yes, please specify version(s): Not sure.
Description of the bug: When opening more than one window for the same track (Multiview), MPT crashes when you try to open more than one window in the Instrument tab.
How often does it happen?: Always.
How to reproduce (step by step description): Open or create a track. Choose "New window" from the Windows menu. Either Manually separate the windows or choose one of the "Tile Windows" functions in the Windows menu, so that you can display both windows of the song simultaneously. With one window open the Instrument tab. Now with the other window, open the Instrument tab. (I was doing this to check if the windows updated each other.) Upon clicking on the 2nd Instrument tab, MPT shuts down without an assertion or error message.
Can't reproduce this.
Try this Sam:
1: Launch OpenMPT
2: press ctrl+n
3: goto instrument tab, create new instrument
4: from the window menu, click "new window"
5: goto instrument tab
been able to reproduce this on the first try
Yes, it only "works" if an instrument is already present or you create one. And it's quite an severe bug.
After another test, i found that it occurs in a brand new track ONLY with the XM format. Did not test with instruments already loaded. Thanks for the confirm guys!
Hm. 'create new instrument' wasn't mentioned at first. And I mistook 'new window' for 'new module'.
So now a confirmation.
Please confirm that this is fixed in OpenMPT 1.17.03.02. You may set the S=C flag in the first post yourself then, without further comments.
All better now! What was the problem, Jojo (layman's terms please!:P)?
You would have to ask Relabs here.
