While we're already working eagerly on OpenMPT 1.27, Rakib spotted an issue with the plugin bridge on the latest Windows 10 update, so we decided to push out one (hopefully) last pure bugfix release for OpenMPT 1.26 addressing this and other issues found in the meantime: OpenMPT 1.26.05.00

Note that new and improved features (such as the new MIDI import and improved resampler) are not part of this update, as they would have required to pull in structural changes into OpenMPT 1.26 that are not well-tested yet.

Can you provide more information about the improved resampler in 1.27?

#32
It's nothing big in most cases; Previously the sample position and increment were stored as fixed-point numbers with a 16-bit fractional part; this was for example far too imprecise to pass some of the tests on the SRC comparison page - hence these tests are currently N/A. In this particular case, a test sample was resampled from 96 to 44 kHz for about 30 seconds, and after that period the theoretical sample position already differed from the actual position by a couple of samples. When choosing the built-in resampler in the sample editor's resampling dialog, this problem could manifest by loop points no longer being placed correctly after resampling - but only for very long samples.
So while this was not a problem most of the time, I have still decided to increase the fractional part to 32 bits, which is more than enough.

Ah I see.  Thanks for the explanation.

Turns out it was not the last one! While it's still going to be a while until the first official release of OpenMPT 1.27, here's another release containing mostly bugfixes and improvements to existing features: OpenMPT 1.26.06.00.

OpenMPT 1.26.07.00 has been released, addressing a few more new and old bugs found in OpenMPT 1.26.06.00. Mostly small issues, but as always it's worth upgrading.

Since it's still going to be a while until OpenMPT 1.27 is ready, OpenMPT 1.26.08.00 has been released to provide even more bugfixes and other small improvements for OpenMPT 1.26.

OpenMPT 1.26.09.00 corrects a few more bugs found in OpenMPT 1.26. I expect OpenMPT 1.27 to be ready sometime in Q2 2017, so this is probably the last or second-to-last bugfix release.

OpenMPT 1.26.10.00 has been released - almost an anniversary update for OpenMPT 1.26, so to speak. :) This is once again mostly a bugfix release, with some other small improvements as well.

One more? Why not! OpenMPT 1.26.11.00 contains more bugfixes (including possible crashes in the pattern editor) and a couple of other improvements.

Yet more bugfixes! A couple of possible crashes and other problems have been identified in the last few weeks and the bugfixes have been backported to OpenMPT 1.26.13.00. Other small improvements have been added as well.

Another small bugfix has been released to address one annoying bug introduced in the previous version: Updating the octave of a note below middle-C no longer worked as intended.
