I can't remember when I started using OpenMPT, but I taught it myself with the try&error method a long time ago.
It could be around 2005, but I'm not sure about that, maybe I'll search for my oldest files another day. ^^ ( currently not at home)
So, I might be one of the most lurking dudes out there
