I'm using my 30 days of Awave to extract some sample sets from sf2-files in my archive.
Quite time-consuming, because I have to close and open the app again after every single save..
The content appears to have different resolutions, so I convert them all to 16-bit 44 k. So far :

Multiple samples of 9 different Chinese instruments
8 samples of a Clavinet
65 samples, mostly percussion, of Kit 08

65 samples in Kit 09  and another 59 samples in Kit 10  - some overlaps.

This time I could reduce the time a bit, because I discovered that I can open several instances of Awave simultaneously.

Wouldnt CdXtract be more suitable for what you want?

Thanks. It probably would, but it's a demo, and since this is a function I would rarely use, it's not worth buying.

And I got tipped about a freeware app : Xtrakk (not tested yet)

So far, I must say, is the content of most .sf2 file quite a mess. All kinds of different resolutions packed together.

Hi,

I know it will be too late for you guys, but it may help someone else later...

There is a freeware available to export sample (one by one are all together) from a SoundFont :

I fear for Sam it is indeed too late, since he passed away in 2010. :(

However, the application looks interesting, yet it could still need some improvements and bug fixes:
- Pressing cancel in the folder selection dialog (when using the "Export" button) results in an exception.
- Such a basic program shouldn't require a setup program. How about providing a zipped version without installer as well?
- How about exporting individual instruments in multi-sample formats such as ITI or XI?
